A third consecutive loss for the Gold Coast Titans has their season drifting away ahead of a Sunday afternoon Magic Round clash against the Newcastle Knights at Suncorp Stadium. 

The Titans started well against the Roosters, but too many errors and missed opportunities proved costly as they suffered a second straight 28-12 defeat. They’ll face another challenge this week, with a Newcastle side growing in confidence awaiting them. 

The Knights’ sparkling attack was on full display against a poor Dragons side, with Greg Marzhew scoring five tries as Kalyn Ponga, Bradman Best and Dominic Young also ran rampant in a 44-10 victory. 

Coaches Josh Hannay and Justin Holbrook have stuck with the same personnel from Round 10 for the first Sunday game of the weekend. 

The Titans won both encounters between the sides last year, although they’ll need a significant lift on recent performances to make it three straight. Can they do it?
