Canberra Raiders vs Wests Tigers Prediction – Round 26 2025
29/08/2025|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips
The Canberra Raiders will look to inch closer to their second-ever minor premiership when they host the Wests Tigers at GIO Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Raiders are coming off a thrilling 20-16 golden point victory over the Panthers that made headlines around the world, with Kaeo Weekes scoring a miraculous game-winning try.

These teams met in Round 16, with the Raiders taking home a 16-12 win. Last week, the Wests Tigers had their faint finals hopes extinguished in a 34-28 loss to the Cowboys as they celebrated the 20-year anniversary of the joint-venture’s sole premiership.

In a considerable blow, the Raiders will be without Xavier Savage for the remainder of the season, but they regain Savelio Tamale for his first appearance in over 10 weeks.

The Tigers have lost Adam Doueihi to a facial fracture, seeing Latu Fainu start at halfback and Heath Mason join the bench. Starford To’a returns at centre with Brent Naden making way.

Head-to-Head Prediction

We finally believe. It’s taken 25 rounds of free flowing footy, an epic winning streak and the most remarkable golden point victory you’ll ever see, but we are now declaring 2025 the year of the Milk.

Forget Melbourne, forget Penrith, the Green Machine and their bevy of young stars continue to get it done time and time again and we’re backing them for the minor premiership, the Provan-Summons trophy and unsurprisingly, for the win here.

Betting tip: Canberra Raiders.

First Tryscorer Prediction

Coming in for the injured Xavier Savage for his first game since round 14, we’re taking Savelio Tamale as our first try scorer here.

Seven of Canberra's last eight home matches have gone over the total match points line.
