Spurs vs Mavericks Prediction and Betting Odds

San Antonio won all four meetings with Dallas last season by an average of more than 19 points, then went to Dallas on October 24 and won again by 16.
The Spurs have since rattled off five straight wins, the Mavericks have just lost at home to a Kings side that hadn't won a game all season, and this one is at the Frost Bank Center.
Before we get to our full preview, here are the key details:
- Competition: NBA Regular Season 2026-27
- Venue: Frost Bank Center, San Antonio
- Date: Thursday, November 5, 2026
- Start Time: 1:30pm AEDT
Spurs vs Mavericks Form and Head to Head
The Spurs dropped their first two games to the Thunder and Rockets but haven't lost since, beating Utah 119-97 on Monday after Wembanyama put 43 on Minnesota two nights earlier.
Dallas are 4-3, and their run of three straight wins over Miami, OKC and Houston came to a thudding halt in a 115-100 home loss to Sacramento, where Cooper Flagg went 3 of 19 from the field.
The head to head reads like a one-way street, because San Antonio have won the last six meetings, including that 122-106 win in Dallas on 24 October when Wembanyama, Dylan Harper, De'Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle all scored 19 or more.
Spurs vs Mavericks Team News
Kyrie Irving is the one to watch. He sat out the Kings game to manage his left knee, three days after scoring 35 against Houston, and Dallas are taking it game by game after his ACL recovery, so his status could go right down to tip-off.
Santi Aldama (knee) is also in doubt, Max Christie left Monday's loss with a hip issue, and Dereck Lively II (foot) remains out.
Flagg is fit after his early-season shoulder sprain. For the Spurs, new signing Tobias Harris (calf) is yet to debut and Jayden Quaintance is out after knee surgery, but the core four are all healthy. Neither team played the night before.
Spurs vs Mavericks Betting Markets
The head to head market will lean heavily towards the Spurs given the form and the matchup history, so plenty of punters will look at the line instead, where San Antonio covered in all four meetings last season.
The total is also worth a think, with the last four Spurs wins in this matchup all clearing 225 points combined.
Player props stand out too, particularly Wembanyama's points and blocks, as he's averaging around 25 points and four blocks a night.

Spurs vs Mavericks Prediction: Our Pick
We're backing the Spurs, and we like them to win comfortably enough to cover the line.
Wembanyama has averaged 28.8 points and four blocks during their five-game winning streak, they've beaten this opponent six times running, all by double digits, and they're at home on full rest at the end of a three-game homestand.
Dallas also look short on depth, with Lively out, Aldama and Christie in doubt and Irving far from a sure thing. The danger is Flagg, who was averaging close to 27 points before his off night against the Kings and has the playmaking to keep Dallas in it.
Even so, San Antonio look the stronger, healthier side, and the Spurs at the line is our pick.
