Pistons vs 76ers Prediction and Betting Odds

Philadelphia have won seven of their first eight games and the one blemish on that record came on their own floor, where Detroit jumped out to a 15-1 start and cruised home 106-93 on 25 October.
That made it five wins on the bounce for the Pistons in this matchup, and with the rematch at Little Caesars Arena it feels like the Sixers have something to prove.
Before we get to our full preview, here are the key details:
- Competition: NBA Regular Season 2026-27
- Venue: Little Caesars Arena, Detroit
- Date: Thursday, November 5, 2026
- Start Time: 11:00am AEDT
Pistons vs 76ers Form and Head to Head
The 76ers arrive 7-1 on a four-game winning streak, most recently beating the Bulls 126-107 at home, and they are still unbeaten on the road at 3-0.
Tyrese Maxey has been the engine, averaging close to 30 points a night, while Jaylen Brown has settled in nicely after his off-season move from Boston.
Detroit are 6-1 and on a three-game run of their own after thumping the Hornets 124-91 on Monday, with Cade Cunningham pouring in a season-high 33.
The head to head is where the Pistons really take charge, because they swept all four meetings last season, including the 116-93 win in April that locked up the East's top seed, and then added that October win in Philly for five straight.
With both sides setting an early pace in the East again, it is worth keeping the NBA season key dates in view to see how the schedule shapes the race from here.
Pistons vs 76ers Team News
The big question mark sits over Joel Embiid, whose right foot has been giving him grief.
He sat out the October meeting and Saturday's win over the Hornets with the same issue, then logged 25 minutes against the Bulls, so punters should keep an eye on the final injury report.
Dominick Barlow (back) hasn't played this season and was due to see a specialist on Tuesday. Detroit will be without Jalen Duren, who is still working back from a hamstring strain, which leaves Paul Reed and John Collins to handle the bulk of the big-man minutes.
Isaiah Joe (hip) has missed the last four games and remains day to day. Neither side is on the second night of a back-to-back, with both teams last playing on Monday.
Pistons vs 76ers Betting Markets
The head to head market is the obvious starting point, because this is a meeting between two of the East's early pace-setters and the market has to weigh Philadelphia's record against Detroit's dominance in the matchup. The total is interesting too, since Detroit and Philadelphia sit first and second in the league for fewest points allowed.
Player props on Maxey and Cunningham are worth a look given how much each offence runs through its star guard, and if you are still getting to grips with how to bet on NBA games, these are a good place to start.

Pistons vs 76ers Prediction: Our Pick
We're siding with the Pistons at home. Detroit own the league's best defensive rating and are conceding a league-low 101.8 points a night, they have beaten this Philadelphia group five times in a row, and in the October meeting they held the Sixers to 93 points while hitting 14 threes.
Cunningham is finding his groove too, with 33 points on 13 of 20 shooting in his last outing. The worry is Maxey, who dropped 29 in that first meeting and can swing a game on his own, and a fit and firing Embiid would make this much tighter.
With Embiid's foot still a concern and the game at Little Caesars Arena, the Pistons are our pick in the head to head market, and the under is a sensible secondary angle given how both defences have started.
Little Caesars Arena is a venue worth a closer look too, and anyone curious about how it compares to the largest NBA arenas by capacity can see where it lands.
