There were plenty of goals and a sprinkling of controversy during matchweek four of the English Premier League – none more so than Erling Haaland’s winner against Manchester United.

So, what could be in store during matchweek five?

Well, there’s no doubt there are some cracking matches this weekend, with perhaps the standout being between two of the league’s highest scorers so far this season – Brighton and Arsenal.

Betting Markets to Watch

We think the clash between Brighton and Arsenal is perhaps the most interesting clash of this weekend’s EPL fixtures.

Arsenal sit top of the Premier League going into the weekend, and have been pretty faultless so far. Four games, four wins and no goals conceded is worrying reading for the rest of the clubs as the Gunners look to defend the league title.

Or maybe that should say worrying for most clubs. Because few would head into a clash against Arsenal with more confidence than Brighton. Perhaps surprisingly, the Seagulls are the Premier League’s highest scorers after four games, and by some margin too.

Brighton have banged in 13 goals so far, three more than Chelsea, and five more than Arsenal and Manchester City.

The goal difference was admittedly bolstered by a 5-0 battering of Coventry last time out, but Arsenal’s back line could perhaps be up for their sternest test so far.

The Gunners are big favourites, but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise for Brighton to nick a point, particularly at home.

Elsewhere, Manchester United will be looking to get over a huge disappointment in the Manchester derby last weekend. They had Manchester City down to 10 men for most of the match, after Phil Foden was sent off.

But United couldn’t capitalise, losing to an Erling Haaland goal which even referees body ProRef said should not have stood after Enzo Fernandez was offside.

They now face a tricky trip to Fulham, though, with the Cottagers fresh from keeping Liverpool at bay in a 0-0 draw at Anfield last time out.

Michael Carrick’s United are favourites to win, especially as the point against Liverpool is Fulham’s only point so far this season. But like Brighton versus Arsenal, the draw has value.

Andoni Iraola returns to the Vitality Stadium as Liverpool face Bournemouth. The former Cherries boss is now in charge of Liverpool, and will be looking to get one over on his former club.

The Reds will go into the clash buoyed by a 3-1 midweek win over Tottenham in the EFL Cup, thanks to goals from Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gapko and a screamer from Dominic Szoboszlai.

It has been something of a stuttering start to the season for Liverpool, who have drawn three of their four league matches so far.

We fancy the BTTS market here, with Bournemouth surely wanting to stop their former boss taking bragging rights back to Anfield.

Our top prediction for the EPL MW5 round of fixtures is for a Manchester United win against Fulham.

Although Fulham held Liverpool, United will be keen to put the City shock behind them and should have too much. For a value bet, perhaps Benjamin Sesko to score could be the way to go.

Brighton vs Arsenal could be one that sees goals. While Arsenal’s back line hasn’t been breached so far this season, Brighton are the league’s top scorers so far and could prove to be the Gunners’ stiffest test so far.

Elsewhere, there’s likely to be goals as Manchester City face Sunderland at home – and probably all for Manchester City. Sunderland have lost two of their league games so far, and drawn one, while City have won all four.
