St Kilda Saints vs GWS Giants Prediction - Round 14 2026

11/06/2026|Josh Jenkins|AFL Tips & Predictions

Separated by one win on the AFL ladder, St Kilda and GWS will face off at Marvel Stadium to close out Round 14.

These clubs have already met in 2026, with St Kilda holding on for a 78-74 victory at ENGIE Stadium during Round 2 despite leading by as many as 39 points midway through the second-quarter.

Callum Wilkie was integral to that result for the Saints, accumulating 28 disposals, 11 marks and 11 intercept possessions.

St Kilda was again in the harbour city last weekend, suffering a heartbreaking 104-102 loss to the Swans at the SCG despite similarly leading by 33 points during the second-quarter.

Meanwhile, GWS had their bye in Round 13, while its latest outing was an impressive 119-70 victory over Melbourne in the heat of Alice Springs.

The Giants have now won three of their last four and look to be on an upwards trajectory at the right time, whereas St Kilda has lost four of their last five.

The result here is vital for both clubs, with the winner moving into wildcard contention and the loser falling away from the top 10.

St Kilda Saints vs GWS Giants Match Predictions and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The Saints were great but ultimately defeated in Sydney with mental errors costing them victory at the death last week.

Getting back to Marvel Stadium will be crucial to their chances here against a GWS squad we simply cannot wrap our heads around.

One week they’re losing to West Coast after looking good early, then the next week they’re kicking 14 goals on the spin against the defending champions.

Their best likely beats the Saints, but the Saints are getting toward desperation mode.

GWS come off the bye with 14 days of rest, giving them a real advantage in preparation and freshness.

While St Kilda will throw everything at this to keep their season alive, the Giants' coming off a break should see them with better legs in the second-half.

We’re tipping GWS to bring it home late in a close one.

Betting tip: GWS Giants by 4 points.

First Goal Scorer Prediction

Toby Greene needs to make a statement here. His form hasn't been particularly strong this season, but we know what he’s capable of.

But being an effort player, Toby’s in control of his contribution and won’t be waiting for anyone to bail out his team.

He knows how important a win here is for GWS and will be doing everything he can to get them over the line.

We're tipping the inspirational captain to snag a goal early and get the Giants rolling.

Betting tip: Toby Greene first goal scorer.

Most Disposals Prediction

The fiery redhead looks good in the orange of the GWS in 2026. Clayton Oliver is averaging the fourth highest disposals in the league this year on 31.42; he's a strong chance to record the most disposals again in this matchup.

This is particularly true if the GWS defence can successfully tag Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, who has also been hitting his stride for the Saints and could outpoint Oliver here if he's free to roam.

We think GWS will get the job done here and Oliver will play a leading role if that is indeed the outcome.

Betting tip: Clayton Oliver most disposals.
