Collingwood Magpies vs Port Adelaide Power Prediction - Round 15 2026

18/06/2026|Josh Jenkins|AFL Tips & Predictions

Together in the bottom third of the AFL ladder, Collingwood and Port Adelaide will face off at the MCG on Saturday night. Both clubs have found themselves in desperate territory, searching for a spark to salvage their remaining 2026 campaigns.

Having failed to win five of their last six matches, Collingwood had a much-needed bye during Round 14 to regroup and recover.

Before the week off, the Pies suffered a heartbreaking 83-75 loss to Melbourne on the King's Birthday, marking the third time in four matches the side had been beaten by single digits.

The Pies have been brave and kept contests close, unfortunately the AFL doesn’t hand out points for almost winning.

Power are in a similar boat, with five of their nine losses coming by a margin of three points or less.

Last time these two faced off was way back in Round 1 of 2025, which ended in a 136-45 annihilation of Port Adelaide.

But these Collingwood Magpies are a year older and looking like they’re on borrowed time this season. But a week off will have done them some good.

Collingwood enter this one as favourites – but Port Adelaide will be desperate and Josh Carr would know all too well that coaches have been dropping like flies in 2026.

Collingwood Magpies vs Port Adelaide Power Match Predictions and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The Pies and the Power arrive at the MCG following similar form lines, having both recorded one win and four losses from their past five outings. It is safe to say that desperation will be the defining theme of the evening.

Port Adelaide have been incredibly staunch defensively, but unless their star playmakers light up inside fifty, it’s been hard work for them to kick a winning score.

Zak Butters remains the absolute talk of the town with his pending free agency, while his on-field form stays first class.

Whatever the Power gets for him in the future will simply not be enough. There is also a worrying watch on their forward line as rumours swirl about players wanting to move back home to Western Australia.

For this specific tactical battle, Harry Perryman looks a great chance to keep Butters company through a tight tag, while Willem Drew will go to work attempting to quell Nick Daicos.

Many midfielders try to stop the baseline damage of Daicos, but few succeed.

We fancy the Pies to get the job done in front of the home fans.

The MCG-factor should be just enough to split these two struggling teams.

Head-to-head prediction: Collingwood Magpies by 13 points.

First Goal Scorer Prediction

In the absence of Jamie Elliott, the Magpies have at times struggled for points in 2026.

We reckon Tim Membrey is a key forward who’s due to step up and keep that scoreboard ticking over.

The Traralgon junior has been playing himself back into form lately and with just 10 rounds left, he might have the timing right.

Expect the Magpies to find the man called ‘Skunk’ inside 50 for an early shot at goal.

Betting tip: Tim Membrey.

Most Disposals Prediction

Another week brings another Nick Daicos prediction for most disposals on the ground.

As always, the AFL’s favourite son has been racking up the numbers in 2026, with; 29, 28, 34, 37 and 35 disposals in the last five matches.

Even with Willem Drew expected as a tagger, Daicos has shown us before he can get past the tag.

We wouldn’t be betting against Daicos to lead the stats sheet in Round 15.

Betting tip: Nick Daicos.
