The dour stayer MR VANGO (1) has his ground here and could be tough to beat at a track that has seen him to good effect in the past. Will have the Grand National as his main aim if it comes up soft and is anticipated to be good enough to land this having gone close over the national fences at Aintree in December. FORTUNATE MAN (5) picked up well to double his tally tackling fences on his return to action at Aintree last month. Warrants thought up in grade. PIC ROC (3) was below-par last time but would be hard to dismiss on his decent fifth in a competitive handicap chase at Cheltenham prior. HUNTER LEGEND (6) also needs to be included.
