Ideally placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. ABITIBI (6) is a seven-year-old mare who is having her first run for the Thomas M Amoss yard. Resumes after finishing 12th at Turfway Park (Synthetic) at her last run nine weeks ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but is in a nice race. Definite winning chance. MIRANDA'S ROCKY (2) failed to run a strong 1609m last start after a close second over 1207m at Churchill Downs (Dirt) the run prior. Looks better placed over this shorter trip so should be competitive. ICY RIVER (3) is back from a break of ten weeks. Closed last campaign with a narrow defeat over 1106m at Remington Park (Dirt). Now under the care of new trainer Armando Hernandez. Among the better hopes.
