NAM PHRIK (1) is a consistent gelding resuming from a spell that would have done him the world of good. He usually takes a run, but is down in class, and from a good draw, he should be very competitive fresh. Check the markets for any positive leads. ALSAYEL (2) returns after a lengthy spell, and makes his debut for Doug Watson. His first-up effort last prep as the favourite was only fair, but he is very talented, and from a good draw, he will be ready to rumble. MAWHOOB (3) also makes his first appearance for the Watson yard after 8 months away. He placed first-up last prep over 1400m at Jebel Ali, and he looks a genuine top-4 contender. STRAIGHT AND LEVEL (5) resumes after 9 months and has a consistent record fresh, including a placing over 1200m at Abu Dhabi last season. Tadhg O'Shea is back in the saddle, and he must be kept safe in all top 4 combos.
