A competitive renewal as so often is the case. It will be a tough ask for FRENCH SHIP (1) to defy top weight however he's clearly very progressive and might prove up to the task. The six-year-old son of French Navy is now four from seven over hurdles and looked as good as ever when winning at Newbury last time. He could still have more to offer and just gets the vote to come out on top. LANESBOROUGH (6) holds obvious claims up in class following his success in a handicap hurdle at Doncaster last time. Impressive there and must be respected. A PAI DE NOM (12) remains very much unexposed and looks interesting back in a handicap after winning under a penalty at Leicester. BEAT THE BAT (5) and JUST ENNEMI (13) are others to note.
