CANADA (2) is the one to beat after a decisive Listed win at Woodbine, where he came away to beat Mo Cookie by just under two lengths at only his second start. The shorter 1609m is new, but he is race fit, drawn kindly and already proven on turf. ROSCOE GOOSE (8) is still a maiden, yet his two seconds have real substance, particularly the G2 Pilgrim Stakes placing at Belmont Park Turf when beaten half a length by Let Em Know. REAL GOODBAR (3) brings the local G2 Bourbon Stakes reference, having placed at this track behind Agate, and his record around 1609m gives him a solid platform. COAST HIGHWAY (10) is unbeaten from two starts and showed grit to win a Listed race at Laurel Turf, so he remains a genuine winning threat if transferring that form to this venue.
