EMERGING MARKET (1) gets the nod on the strength of his deeper form and favourable set-up. He was fifth in much stronger company at Saratoga when at long odds, and his previous second to Wynstock reads well for this. He returns to a distance where he has already won and gets meaningful weight relief, with Flavien Prat back aboard. MEMORY (6) is the immediate danger after winning first-up at Churchill Downs, beating Pagode by a length and a half in ALLOW grade, and his record at this distance is sound. AZAM (8) brings a clean recent profile, having won at Gulfstream Park as a well-supported favourite after a narrow second there, though 1710m is new territory. STOWAWAY (2) is hard to knock for consistency, placing first-up at this track and also running well two back, but his long winning strike rate keeps him more in the place-and-exotics bracket.
