ARAMIS AL GUNAY (12) failed to figure again last time over 2400m at Hoppegarten, beaten 19 lengths into eighth. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Leading contender. CITY OF TROY (10) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 16 starts. Was again denied last start when she found a couple better over 2000m at Leipzig. Best figures measure up nicely. Makes plenty of appeal. SEKT ON ICE (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at Hoppegarten, beaten 1.75 lengths into sixth. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. ATLANT (5) turned in a modest performance when 15th last start over 2200m at Hoppegarten, beaten 53 lengths after a good first-up win at Hoppegarten. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
