UP THERE (6) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1000m at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. PHIM (10) is back after a break of four months. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing third at her latest appearance over 1000m at this track. Nicely placed and expected to go well. NUESTRA MASERATI (9) resumes from a spell of five months. Could only manage to finish tenth at the latest run over 1000m at this track. Among the chances while fresh. XIAN (8) is back from a spell of nine weeks. Closed last prep with a third over 1000m at this track. Has a win and a placing from five starts at this track and distance. Everything points to a big run. VIUVA NEGRA (3) was thereabouts last time out when second at this track over 1000m, beaten less than a length. No excuses from this draw; leading player.
