ROYAL MERMAID (4) broke through for her maiden win over 1600m at this track last time, scoring by half a length. Breaks from a wide alley but she is a solid top-three hope. OLIVE OYL (3) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 2000m at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. The engagement of Richard Fourie is noteworthy. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. CANFORD QUEEN (9) missed the placings two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 2000m at this track, beaten only 0.3 lengths. Nicely placed to find winning ways.
