ONE WHIRLWIND RIDE (2) has missed the frame in both runs this time in, both on turf. Finished fifth at Evangeline Downs Turf fresh then again missed the frame when seventh at Evangeline Downs Turf over 1006m two months ago. Sound record at this distance with three wins and seven minor placings from 15 runs and is one of the major players. BLACK SWORD (1) finished in the placings when a nose second on dirt at Evangeline Downs two back but then disappointed on turf last time at Evangeline Downs Turf over 1006m when seventh, finishing 7 lengths from the winner. Will be hard to beat back to the dirt here. ALTERANA (5) lines up on the back of a 4 length fifth over 1207m at Louisiana Downs. Has a solid record here over this journey, winning on seven occasions from 25 outings. Major player. MYSTERY MAN (7) was handy in the run last time out before fading late to finish 9 lengths away in fourth over this trip at Prairie Meadows (Dirt). Reunites with A Birzer which is a proven winning combination. Deserves respect.
