Former G1 Festival winner L'HOMME PRESSE (1) was fourth in the 2024 G1 Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase. Enjoyed a successful campaign last year with a third tackling the top level at Kempton and a 5000m success in the G2 Cotswold Chase here. Top chance on return. THE DOYEN CHIEF (5) could go well having posted a 2.25L second in a 4800m soft ground handicap chase at Bangor-on-Dee two starts back. Makes appeal. KING TURGEON (6) ran with credit on seasonal return finishing 8L sixth in the 4200m Grand Sefton Handicap chase over the national fences at Aintree last month. Interesting. HERAKLES WESTWOOD (9) is a stayer who showed plenty of ability a month ago when runner-up in a 5000m heavy ground handicap chase at this track. Not discounted.
