CHESS (6) has won this race in the past and is back down to a dangerous rating. He returned from a few months off with a fair eigthth in a Class Three 2500m handicap at Deauville AW and should be sharper for the reappearance. Stall fifteen is by no means ideal for the two-time winner DON'T SHUT ME DOWN (7) but he nevertheless has to be taken seriously following an excellent second in a 2500m Class Two handicap at Deauville AW recently. COSMIC FRONT (9) ran well when third in a conditions event at Deauville AW a month ago and cannot be ruled out as a previous course and distance winner. ALWAYS WELCOME (1) could go well.
