MAEGELLE (5) brings three successive staying placings from 2000m to 2200m including a narrow defeat over course and distance. Her latest third came on very soft ground and she remains the safest option. LUPIN (3) won their earlier clash before fading tackling a longer trip on testing turf. Returning to this journey should help. APOLLO MAXIMUS (4) landed a 1700m handicap here then finished fourth on dirt at Izmir. Each grass appearance has yielded a top-three finish. AFTER BURNER (1) collected minor honours at Bursa and Ankara attempting the extended journey. A recent fifth tempers confidence but his stamina is established at these demanding distances.
