EMPRESS NEW GROOVE (11) improved last time out, finishing 2 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1207m at this track after being prominent at the turn. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. SAINT TROPEZ (9) started at $9.82 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 9 lengths at Belmont Park Turf (Turf) over 1408m after being in contention on the turn. This is a nice drop in grade so she is one of the main contenders. AKADEMY LADY (1) raced once in the maiden preparation when tenth at Newbury over 1408m back on April 17. The addition of Lasix for this return is a key factor. SOLAIA (7) returns from a layoff of 11 weeks. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1207m at Keeneland. Comes here with definite top-three claims.
