BALBOA (6) was well in the market when he finished fifth over 2400m at this track on April 9, beaten by 5 lengths. He will be a lot stronger this season, and in a modest field, he will be hard to hold out. CHINESE WHISPER (9) resumes after six-and-a-half months away, having finished sixth over 1600m on the classic course here last time out. This looks a suitable assignment, and he is worth keeping onside fresh up. BAIRAQ (1) returns from a similar break and makes his first appearance for a new stable. He finished seventh first-up last campaign over 1600m at this track, but a change of surroundings could spark improvement. ORANGE COUNTY (14) makes his debut for the Fawzi Nass stable. By Halkin, he is an unknown quantity, but market support would be worth noting and he could sneak into the placings.
