On pace runners, 2, 3, 6, 10. SPAIN faces the starter for the first time. He was spelled after he trialed back in December of last year. Two much more recent trials have him well prepared to tackle this journey today. OMOLONG presents on debut after trialing twice earlier in the month at his Rosehill home base. After winning the second of those lead-up trials, he's suitably placed in this class. KLOCKE did all but win on debut at Canterbury in a race that's already produced strong form and he can be expected to cope with a step back in distance here form 1250m. DUBIOUS EXPRESS was produced on debut when his immaturity was obvious at Newcastle. He did however stick to his task in defeat and after a subsequent Randwick trial, natural improvement can now be made.
