CROIX DE GUERRE (2) ran on too late when resuming over 1200m at Otaki just over 2 weeks ago. He will find this easier, and the extra 200m will suit him. A wet track is no problem, and he will be a quick improver in this. Stick with him on an each-way basis. LA DULCIN'EE (5) does not win often, but she did get the job done at Whanganui in his penultimate start, before finishing third there by less than a length nearly 3 weeks ago. She holds her form when fit, and she can figure in the top 3 again. ONLY THE LONELY (6) is a promising mare, and her first 2 starts back from a spell have been very good. She likes it wet, and another honest effort is on the cards. SILENT APPLAUSE (10) was a comfortable maiden winner 2 starts back, before failing to fire in a tougher field at Trentham just over 5 weeks ago. She is worth another chance in this more suitable company. LITTLE THIEF (3) resumes from a spell with a couple of trials under his belt. He might need it, but still include him.
