HAKUSHU (2) was beaten by a wide gate fresh up, and then was a fast closing third at Pukekohe nearly 3 weeks ago over 1200m. He is peaking at the right time, and the extra furlong will make all the difference. On top for us. CHEEKY DEVIL (8) finished fifth in the G3 Eulogy Stakes at Trentham before catching the eye with a late burst for third at Pukekohe last time out over this trip. She can secure a run that suits her from the pole position, and she should go close to taking this out. ESPERANZA (9) was third fresh up at Ellerslie, and her next couple of runs there have been in stronger company. She has been freshened up, so the drop back from a mile to 1400m won't matter, and she can bounce back into the money here. Each way value. THE ESPY (6) needed his fresh-up run, and then battled on fairly well for fourth at Tauranga just over 5 weeks ago. He is peaking at the right time and is worth including. SUIT YOURSELF (1) strips fitter second up, and both of his wins have been here.
