SINGLETARY (1) is making his debut after showing plenty of talent at the trials. He might want more ground than 1000m, but he has shown enough pace on the training track to say he can make a winning start to his career. SWEETEST THING (5) won the latest of 2 trials, and is in good hands. She has the advantage of the pole position and should be among the hardest to beat in this. JARVISYARD (3) finished close up in fourth-place at Foxton in his only public trial to date. The market will be the best guide, but he looks as though he will make the grade. MAGILL (4) has the experience edge over his rivals, and though well beaten fresh up at Trentham, it was in far tougher company. Stick with him. HANDSTAND (2) is a Tivaci gelding on debut, and from a good draw, he is expected to be very competitive.
