AGE OF SAIL quickly turned his nose away from the outside barrier. 2, 8, 11 and 13 all dual acceptors and we are full of anticipation because this is a race that's up for grabs. Pace looks limited and from his low barrier you could see RUN HARRY RUN jumping to control it. He is also an emergency in the next (needing four scratchings) and in at Flemington as well. This track might be a bit drier perhaps and that could lead to a trip north. Don't see Mildura to Sydney much but the Cup win was full of merit and he will measure up if here. To that end, stablemate THE PENDRAGON will not be the worst given a very different barrier and set up in running. PUNCH LANE another very likeable Victorian.
