ROYAL ASSENT (7) found some form third up at Ashburton a fortnight ago, and she can secure a cosy run from her handy gate. Her only other placings have been here on this surface, and she can push the top pick. BAGGIO (1) has gone close to winning this year, and he has form on this surface. He won't lack fitness, and he also gets a nice swing in his draw. He drops 3kg, and has to be given each-way consideration. QUEEN COURTNEY (11) ran a better race last start at Ashburton, and she will be peaking at the right time for this. Include in all top 4 combos in a modest field.
