My first thought was that this looks like option three for BARRENGARRY. He is in the $10M G1 as well - not particularly a 'suitable' race but he would make more for finishing 9th there than winning this - and surely the $750K Gold Cup (this distance) is as tempting as anything. Second thought is that there is a real lack of speed in the race. I have 11 and 9 heading forward. PERISHER and MEDATSU may well be reserved for later on but the first-up win of PERISHER looks well placed in this pending who we are left with. They take 3 kilos off this time courtesy of Shannen Llewellyn. COLUMBUS out of a strangely run race but trails nicely here.
