Randwick was rated Soft 7 midweek at acceptance time but with plenty of sun about and temps nudging into the 20s we really ought to see significant improvement and kick off on a Good track for the first Saturday meeting of winter. Naturally it's the 2YOs that get us going and this looks a very competitive race. Last year's winner Hidden Motive went on to win a Group 2 in the spring and I'm expecting some quality through this as well. Note firstly KASINA was down to run on Wednesday. All of these newcomers look pretty good; I'm with WHY SO HARD although they will hate his barrier.

About Randwick Racecourse
Randwick Racecourse is located in Kensington, 5 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. It is the largest racetrack in New South Wales. It hosts approximately 45 races each year, including the Australian Derby. The track is set on 81 hectares, and has a circumference of 2224 metres and a 410-metre-long straight.
