MIDNIGHT RULER went straight to the front here last time and kept kicking to score. This is tougher but he won't know himself with 54.5kg on his back and he can push forward and take catching again. ZESTIMAN came from behind the speed to win at his first run on the track in November. He has contested stronger events in three subsequent outings. GEORGIEGINA had been racing in good form prior to a disappointing effort at the latest meeting here. She's worth another chance. LAVA LAD was trapped wide last start and battled on well to finish fourth behind Mckeever. Efforts prior to that were sound.
