Back to 1100m might work for LES BRAVES who has had a small freshen since a forgivable run at Seymour. That race got messy for him and Jamie Mott was satisfied with his performance. ASTARI is deep into his 2nd prep but continues to race well. He didn't give up the chase of that tearaway leader and winner at Geelong. SUSSEX DUCHESS had a reasonably soft win 1st up. She should go on with it now as a more mature 4yo mare. SIDELINE wasn't far away here 1st up over 1000m. He had his chance but liked his work through the line. Clearly, he wants further, perhaps even 1200m but he's a chance here. KA YING CHEER has been trialling ok. Keen to see what the market does with him.
