Nothing is going to surprise in this 2500m maiden. PHOENICIAN deserves a win after four straight placings. Brad Rawiller and PHOENICIAN did a great job at Moe to finish 3rd after Brad's saddle shifted. ST DOMINIC beat home PHOENICIAN fairly and squarely in one of these Jan.16. His Hangong Rock run was good too so it was no fluke. THE LONG MOVER trialled well with horses better than maiden grade between his two starts. He hit is head on the barriers first go so that was forgivable. The tempo was right against him at Moe. He's bred to want 2500m. CHATEAU DANCER was beaten at the $1.50 last time seemingly with every hope. Lachie Neindorf was "not disappointed" with her and he sticks. The big track looks the key. She was very good here 1st up. RAPIDO RIVER gets blinkers after an inconclusive debut for the stable at Moe. Expect better. FEDORA is a 2500m query but Moe was good last time albeit in a slowly run race.
