Another lovely autumn day on offer at Mornington on Tuesday. A top of 25 degrees expected and we will race on a dry track. Our previous meeting here of course was the feature Mornington Cup card a couple of Saturdays ago. Our rail is out to 3 metres this time. We open the afternoon with a 1500m Maiden. SHALAAKEI backs up eight days after a run in which he settled back inside and you can see him being closer here at the longer trip. Switches from one end of the state to the other but it may pay dividends. WONDERDOWNUNDER was held clearly at bay by the $1.90 winner at Werribee. Has the runs in his legs and lands up front but is there any improvement still to come??
