CRACK THE SHUTTERS has tried hard behind all-the-way victor Mazzini at her past two outings. She's bred to relish the rise to 2000m and will appreciate the absence of that galloper. Victorian raider DAD AND DAVE scored a dominant maiden win when out to 1856m at his third attempt and won't be down here for the scenery. WOLF JUNIOR worked home okay when out to 1600m in the Tas Guineas and on that performance the further rise in trip may suit. CAELIUS was never likely in that event but may be an improver up in distance.
