State-based Tote pools across Australia have been combined into a single national Tote ('One Pool'), meaning there is now only one set of Tote dividends nationwide.
This industry-wide change may affect the prices available and how some Tote bets are settled. Tote (TO) now represents the combined national Tote ('One Pool'), while Tote+ (TO+) returns the better of the Tote dividend and Starting Price (SP).
Other rules:Only final field runners subject to deductions
Selections: 8-6-9-1
SHARE THE STARS is close to peak fitness after placing over 1700m third up from a spell and was grabbed very late. Easy winner on soft track at this distance before her spell. MAHMUDAH was improved in all three runs from a spell and was good through the line here over shorter distance, with good margin to third placegetter. LEFT HOOK will appreciate the prospect of softer ground with two recent placings coming on Soft 6 and 7 and they were in similar distance range to this. OLYMPIAD resumes but has a solid record over 1800m and further, so the stiff mile here first up probably okay. Rolled forward in most recent jumpout over 1400m at Horsham.
