At the time of writing (Tuesday) the track is rated a soft 7 and with light rain forecast race day there should be some give in the surface. ELEVATING made good ground from the back at her 1000m debut, then pressed forward and gave a good sight when out to 1400m next try. Expect another spirited bid. MEAN KING from the astute Munce yard placed in the first of three trials and any positive market moves must be respected. SNIPER BOOM disappointed fresh but had shown ability in his initial campaign. HOT SUN may improve on firmer going.
