At the time of writing (Friday) the track is rated a soft 5 but with fine weather forecast an upgrade is anticipated. MASTRETTA battled away soundly from on speed at Devonport fresh. She'll be better for the hitout, is suited by the return to turf and has placed at both other second up runs. LADY GALADRIEL was a tad disappointing as fave third up but had been sound at her first two runs this prep and has been freshened up for this. GEE GEES ME BOY finished off strongly for a deserved win last time. HURRICANE KETUT has been in the minors when new and narrowly won a recent Longford trial.
