PENTAGON was heavily supported to win on his local debut having placed in three of his four New Zealand starts and he quickly crossed from a wide barrier to lead throughout untroubled with second and third in the run staying on to fill the placings. He obviously meets a few other winners now, but looks the one to beat. I AM CARROT may want to try and kick up and make him work a little, if he can hold the front with Pentagon on his outside he might get his chance to test the favourite. FAST TRACK is ready to win again and will camp just off the leaders. SO LONG FAREWELL was $16 out to $31 fresh, ran well, must have improvement to come.
