BERNARDO (4) produced a solid effort last start at Whanganui when working into the race on the turn before finishing third over 2060m. He will be peaking third up, and his next win is not far away. SUBTLE IMAGE (2) is a lot more genuine since joining the Didham stable, winning two back at Waipukurau before another honest effort when a fast-finishing runner-up over 2200m at Waverley 12 days ago. He will be right in the finish again. KWANZA (1) resumed in good order when finishing third over 1600m at Waipukurau and he will relish the extra 500m second up on his home track. Each-way, especially on a heavy track. BLACKWATERFOOT (7) was impressive last start at Ellerslie, finishing strongly to score over 2100m and she won't find this much harder. Stick with her. UP WITH ACE (6) finally put it all together when scoring his maiden at Hawera on a good track, and then weakened at Te Rapa nearly 5 weeks ago. A firmer surface could be the key, and he can make amends with a track to suit him.
