REAL ALLIANCE is racing in good heart and is nicely placed. New stable and a drop in class and distance for COMMANDER HARRY who found the 2800m of the Bagot too much of a test. His spring country cup form (Coleraine Cup win, Hamilton Cup third) reads well for this. Nhill Cup winner SIRIUS BLACK was just even in the Koroit Cup but is suited up in trip. KOKONOTSU ran second in this race last year and again comes through the Burumbeet Cup; second last year and a solid fifth this time around. FATHER?S DAY also ran in that race, not disgraced off a wide run. Another Burumbeet Cup runner was FLYING BASIL who didn?t have the best of runs; 2nd in a Camperdown jump-out since.
