Not much surprises in this year's Geelong Classic. A few of them step out to a staying trip for the first time as they progress towards a VRC Derby. ENCHILADA won a highweight maiden at his 2nd start and that's often form that can be safely overlooked. Not this time. He thrashed a couple who have come out and finished 1st and 3rd in a Warrnambool 2000m maiden. 2nd in that maiden was Winter Arc who finished 3rd to COLD SHOWER and prior to that he ran well behind the Norman Robinson winner King Snitz. COLD SHOWER has had a solid build up to this in two genuinely run races. The Waller pair, TRUE TONE and CRIMSONOR look likelyn types for 2200m. Their maiden form got a boost at Caulfield Saturday when Tharwa ran so well in the fillies' 2000m Gr3. ICY YOU and FRANK WHISPER come through races where the form stacked up well at Caulfield Saturday. MENESS had pattern against at Kyneton. MURSHIDI shapes like he will stay. Can go on.....
