West of Swindon and Romantic Encounter settled one-two when they quinellaed the Stutt Stakes in the spring. They may go forward again. ASAKURA overcame difficulties in the straight to win at Terang first up. He followed up with a dominant win at Geelong. SIXTIES settled much better and won well fresh. He'd been overracing on the speed in the spring, but looks to have matured. SPACE RIDER sat wide and won pleasingly first up. He'll get a better run from barrier two. WEST OF SWINDON can figure. ROMANTIC ENCOUNTER should improve. Expect BINGI and PICTOR to run well first up.
