No rain expected on race day so we should have a good track. Autumn Lover and Grinzinger Heart raced on the speed in their jumpouts. They may go forward. SHAH JAHAN was a close second in his Cranbourne jumpout on 26/1. He looked to have plenty to offer. HARD KICK was ridden out to win a Werribee jumpout on 6/2. The other two first-starters have also looked okay. Of those we've seen, STELLAR CIPHER was a good second behind the promising Tough Romance on debut. ZAMBALES held ground when runner-up as $3.60 favourite on debut. DIAMETER ran the third-best last 400m here on debut.
