1000m 3yo maiden. Could be three on debut, three resuming, two 2nd-up. Once again, them fluctuations as the horses depart the mounting yard carry more influence than would usually be the case. Fitness levels? ELNAJEEB (4th) and YARANGA (1st) met in a recent trial at Doomben on a soft 5 track. MERCATELLO won her heat that day in quicker time. But the relevance of Doomben/soft for this? Not much. The resuming BOSS MODE trialed 2nd at Doomben, also on a soft track, but that was some six weeks ago. The resuming CRYPTO MISS has some decent form-lines. She recently trialed 2nd, winner of said heat landed good bets on its debut. Rex Lipp doesn't come to town for fun.
