DELZ ABEEL (3) missed a cheque for the first time in 6 starts on this track 2 weeks ago when finishing fourth and a length from the winner. A wide gate is no help, but he benefits from a 2kg claim, and he is expected to be hard to beat again. WHAT A YARN (2) made it 2 wins from 3 starts this prep with a gutsy win against most of these a fortnight ago, and despite a weight rise, he can repeat the dose, especially from a good draw. SPANISH LAD (1) gave in without a fight here last time out when backed in heavily to start as the favourite. He has won 2 of his 3 starts third up in the past, and he can make amends. Follow your money. LERADO (4) maintained his good poly track form with a pair of thirds here in his last couple of starts. George Rooke sticks with him from a better draw, and another honest effort is on the cards. BERTIE WOOSTER (7) stuck on gamely for fifth when fresh up, and he will continue as the season progresses. Each way value for us.
