A wide gate is no help, but he benefits from a 2kg claim, and he is expected to be hard to beat again. WHAT A YARN (2) made it 2 wins from 3 starts this prep with a gutsy win against most of these a fortnight ago, and despite a weight rise, he can repeat the dose, especially from a good draw. SPANISH LAD (1) gave in without a fight here last time out when backed in heavily to start as the favourite. He has won 2 of his 3 starts third up in the past, and he can make amends. Follow your money. LERADO (4) maintained his good poly track form with a pair of thirds here in his last couple of starts. George Rooke sticks with him from a better draw, and another honest effort is on the cards. BERTIE WOOSTER (7) stuck on gamely for fifth when fresh up, and he will continue as the season progresses.
