PROUD CAPITALIST (8) has been racing well at Pukekohe in her last 4 starts, finishing third there 3 times on the bounce. She has a home track advantage, and from a handy gate, she goes on top for us. ALTIPLANO (1) franked a solid trial with a brave run for second fresh up at Ellerslie 2 weeks ago, which is strong form for a race like this. The John Bell stable is hitting their straps, and this gelding can go one better. FORCE OF LAW (2) has been mixing his form, and showed pace to lead up in his last start at Woodville 3 weeks ago before folding up late to finish fifth. He has 100m less to travel this time, and could take them all the way. SCOTTY MAGOO (4) was heavily backed fresh at Arawa Park 4 weeks ago but failed to cop the heavy track, finishing last. He can make amends in this, so stick with him. OVERTURE (9) did not have all the luck in the world on debut at Pukekohe, and she would have learned a lot from that experience. She has trialled on this course, so don't risk her.
