SAINT FOX had his chance but he did run well at Geelong 1st go. He had jumped out well on heavy ground before that run. JUST LIKE JAGGER found trouble at the start last time at Geelong when a beaten fav. He still ran well enough. CAPTAIN REDBEARD worked home well at Seymour on a soft when he returned as a gelding. He'll be suited to 1400m now. He just beat home FARSIDE who had some excuses. CAPTAIN REDBEARD's stablemate CHALLENGING was never going to be suited by 1000m off his jump out form. Expect better at 1400m but would also like a market push. Their stablemate MELBOURNE BOY resumes with blinkers on. That debut was good. Have no clue to his heavy track capabilities but would suggest going forward he might be one of the better ones. Take away the Sale flop and ALLUMEUSE has been thereabouts. CAJUN looks like she might be a good staying prospect. Betting? CLUX STAR could be a 1400m query but she keeps running well in handy maidens.
