SHE'S SINATRA (10) was a deserved maiden winner of her penultimate start here, and then raced greenly late when finishing fourth by just over a length on the Riccarton poly track last time out when trying to make all the running. She cops a tough gate, but can still be very competitive in this. MAWKEB (12) raced handier than usual at Riccarton last start, and may have failed to stay 2000m. Her effort when finishing an unlucky fifth over this trip at Oamaru caught the eye, and she is worth another chance in this. NO PLAN BE (8) has her first start for a new trainer after relocating from the North Island earlier in the year, and finally cops her best draw in a while. If ready, she can give this a big shake, so follow any positive market moves. VERDIAN (6) ran his best race in a while when finishing runner-up by a short-head as the favourite at Riccarton just over 2 weeks ago. If he can reproduce that run, then he can figure in the top 4 again. LUCKY FERRANDO (2) has to be respected.
