OAKSDEEL (9) was an overdue maiden winner in her penultimate start, and then was beaten by a short-head at Riccarton a month ago in a handy field. She doesn't know how to run a bad race, and is the one to beat here. STOUT (1) had to work a touch from a wide gate, and battled on gamely for second as the favourite here last time out. He will be at his peak fitness fourth up from a spell, and can go one better. SO BRASSY (13) made a winning South Island debut here over 1200m and steps straight up from 1200m to a mile. She is a lot stronger this season and should continue to work her way through the grades. CRUNCHIE BOY (2) was only half a length from the winner when having his first run for a new trainer at Cromwell nearly 2 weeks ago. The extra furlong is the key, and his next win is not far away. GENERATION JOY (8) was beaten by a wide gate fresh up, and has been a late scratching since then. If ready, he can't be taken lightly. Watch the market moves.
